Buffalo announces free NAS WebAccess iPhone and iPad apps

I’ve been thinking of buying a NAS (Network Attached Storage / Server) device over the last couple of months, but considerations of the time it would take to setup and organize my files has stopped me going any further. The whole idea of storing all my data in one location and being able to share it with multiple devices was the main benefit driver behind the idea.

Buffalo have come up with a NAS solution that I just may take advantage of. I’m especially attracted by the fact that I don’t have to fiddle with any hardware! The other bonus is that one can access their stored files anywhere in the world where there’s an internet connection via their iPhone or iPad (both of which I own).

View photos and videos or listen to music stored on a Buffalo network hard drive anywhere in the world over 3G or Wi-Fi. Plus, with multiple device support you can manage digital assets from multiple Buffalo NAS devices. Pricing and Availability

Buffalo’s WebAccess i app for iPod touch and iPhone and WebAccess i HD for iPad is currently available for free at the App Store on iTunes and is available for use in conjunction with any currently shipping Buffalo LinkStation (except the LinkStation Quad – LS-QL series) and TeraStation network storage device.

The app is now available for download from the iTunes App Store.
